HOW TO HOST A
TECH WEEK EVENT

Event submissions for 2023 are currently closed. If you would like to discuss your event idea for 2024, please reach out to Andria Romkema at romkemaa@rightplace.org.

GUIDELINES

1. Have your event planned 

Event hosts are responsible for planning, logistics, expenses, and marketing of events.  Before you apply, make sure you have key components like format, topic, venue, dates, and messaging planned. Tech Week events are designed to educate and connect (No sales pitches please) and previous event examples can be found here

2. Be ready to market your event

As an event host, you will be responsible for attracting attendees to your event and making it as successful as possible. Tech Week Grand Rapids will support marketing via a page on our website and general promotion of Tech Week overall. As hosts you are also responsible for managing registration and communication with your attendees. 

3. Get ready to have fun!

Event hosts will join a community of other like-minded organizations working to create a thriving tech ecosystem in the Greater Grand Rapids Region. We'll be helping promote #TechWeekGR and supporting each other as our community grows.
