Zephyr and i.MX93/95: two technologies for edge AI and IoT

Two hands-on workshop sessions will introduce Software, Computer, Hardware, and Electronics Engineers and Students to technologies that are the future of embedded products, enabling more efficient development and deployment of on-device AI and GUI with high-performance processing. Come to one or both sessions and enjoy lunch together.

Morning Session - 9:30am - 12:00pm: MCU Development with Zephyr, Zephyr is "an open source collaborative effort uniting developers and users in building a best-in-class small, scalable, real-time operating system (RTOS) optimized for resource-constrained devices, across multiple architectures" (Zephyr Project) Live demonstrations using the MCXN947-FRDM board will showcase real-world applications, including a legacy Blinky project, and an HMI created with Gui-Guider—all built on Zephyr. Whether you're new to Zephyr or seeking to deepen your embedded development expertise, this session will equip you with practical knowledge and tools to accelerate your next project.

Lunch - 12:00pm - 12:30pm: Open to both session participants.

Afternoon Session - 12:30pm to 3pm: i.MX 9 Applications Processor Series You will use NXP’s new i.MX 93 FRDM Development Board with a camera and display as we guide you through several expert-led hands-on labs focused on HMI, Security, and Vision Edge AI. Attendees will also see the new i.MX 95 in action with AI-accelerated vision processing and immersive graphics abilities as we demonstrate the Toradex Verdin i.MX 95 EVK. A laptop is required for both sessions, evaluation kits will be provided for use during the workshop, and instructions will be sent prior to the event for prerequisite software installation.

Separate Registration required for each session.
